Photoshop

Working with Photoshop has been a long time hobby of mine. Whilst initially my work was created using alternatives to this amazing software, the motivation has always been the same - creating something with that magic 'wow' factor!

In fact, the first software I ever used for creating digital art was DeluxePaint on the Commodore Amiga, back in the late eighties and early nineties. Here was a piece of magic software, that not only allowed the creation of static digital art, but also the creation of animations. Mind you, what was created had to fit into the confines of a 1.44Mb 3.5" floppy, and is nothing compared to the quality of image manipulation and photo editing achievable today.

The next monumental leap in graphic editing software was the purchase of Jasc Paintshop Pro (now Corel Paint Shop Pro) - the reward from earnings for a label design commissioned by a local strawberry farm.

For the last 14 years or so, I've happily edited my works using Photoshop.

Below is a selection of digital artworks, that for the majority, were created for 'Photoshopping' competitions as a member of the now defunct Worth1000 site. A number of these pieces have taken up residence in many blogs and news sites across the internet - some with dodgy claims of ownership; others crediting the work honestly.

Unfortunately this is the reality of the digital age but these pieces were made not for a single audience so I can't complain, only have the satisfaction that others enjoyed the work enough to feel it needed sharing.
